Caring for your purchase(s) is simple. To remove dirt and oils, simply use warm water and mild soap or baking soda. A soft bristled toothbrush can be used to gently clean away any debris from around and under gemstones.
Due to the different surface patinas, please avoid using:
- harsh cleaners and chemicals
- jewelry cloths
- ultrasonic cleaners
We recommend avoiding contact with abrasives and harsh solvents as they may also remove the patina. And don’t forget to remove all jewelry while enjoying hot tubs and chlorinated swimming pools.
The patinated surfaces change over time (depending upon the individual piece and its wearer) taking on its own unique surface character.
Bronze has a tendency to naturally patina over time, one of the reasons we love working with this material, as each piece develops its own unique character. If you prefer to keep a nice shiny golden color, store in an airtight plastic zip bag.
To clean, use a gentle brass/bronze cleaner like Brasso or even ketchup will get the job done in a pinch. Just let the ketchup sit on the piece for 30 minutes then wash and dry your piece.
